Featured Product: Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist

From DT member Melissa:

"So, one of the scrapbooking products that I use almost in every single project/layout I create is glimmer mist. I love the splash of color, sparkle, and sheen it gives my products. I have three different layouts shown below using the Glimmer Mist in blues and greens which are my favorite two colors - and we have both of those colors in the store as well!

In this first layout, I used a piece of negative chipboard that alphas were in as a mask...

In this second layout, I used just one color exclusively and liberally sprayed it on my page allowing the drips to run down the page....

In this third layout, I layered mists. I love how they look when they mix together...creating another shade when they mix...again, I allowed them to drip down the page....gives it a very artistic, free feel to the project...

You can find the Tattered Angels Products with this link! I have also used their glimmer screens and they also lend a very beautiful element to your scrapbooking projects!"
Thanks Melissa for sharing your gorgeous creations!!!

November Scrapper of the Month!

Please join me in congratulating Rosemary - our November scrapper of the month!

Rosemary is such a fantastic part of our little community. Her consistent participation on the boards and with challenges is a HUGE part of what makes LCOM so warm and friendly!I asked Rosemary to tell us a little bit about herself, answer some probing questions and share some of her favorite scrappy projects.

"I was born in London, England. We moved to Canada when I was 3 so I don’t have any memories of living in England. I have always wanted to travel there, but have not yet had the opportunity! We have lived in Saint John, NB for the past 28 years. This is home to me.

I have my bachelor of nursing degree and currently have two casual jobs. I work for a rehabilitation center for injured workers and am a clinical instructor for bachelor of nursing students.

I have been scrapbooking for the past 13-14 years and I love it. It really releases the creativity in me! I am addicted to it AND to buying lots of scrappy goodies!!! I just can’t seem to stop!"

My guilty pleasure is... chocolate! I MUST have it everyday!
I can't imagine my life without... my parents!
You would never guess it, but I... am shy in large groups and have difficulty meeting people because of this!
I would love to win a shopping spree to... oh, do I have to choose!!! A scrappy store, clothing store, and shoe store……and the list goes on!!!
My favorite scrappy item in the LCOM store right now is...the new D-ring damask album!
If I could be on any tv game or reality show, it would be... The Amazing Race!
If a genie granted me three wishes, I’d wish for... good health, to travel and to be debt free!
My least favorite chore is... ironing!
I have a scrappy crush on... PEIGirl aka Amanda. I love her work…gorgeous!
Here are some of Rosemary's favorites:

Remembrance Day Challenge

With Halloween over some folks are ready to jump right into the Christmas season. This is my favorite time of the year, but there is a very important date between the two. One that we should never forget. That date is November 11th - Remembrance Day or Veterans Day! This is one of the most important events in our yearly calendar. Many reflect on the days when they lost family and friends to war and to the cruelity of war. So many men and women gave their lives so that we might be free. For those who continue to fight and stand up for their countries, we want you to know that we are proud of you for your loyality to your country, for your bravery and courage. So lets remember to take the time to honour those who have fallen and those who carry on in their footsteps. Wear a poppy, take in a service this year and lets all remember the many great men and women who are called Soldiers.

To show our respect for these great people, the ladies here at LCOM did an outstanding job of making beautiful cards in tribute to those who have served and continue to serve. The ladies used the following sketch to make this weeks amazing creations. Please join us in paying tribute to these great people and upload your card creation at http://www.letscaptureourmemories.com/
