Card Sketch #18

Here's Jerusha's sketch for this week! This sketch lends itself to lots of possibilities.  The added extra challenge is easy...to use ribbon on your card.

Here's Team B's take on the sketch!!!

Look at the sweet Valentine's card.  I love the stitching she did on the outside edge!

Don't you just love that firefly that I know she handpainted?! Look at all that detail!

That Mix and Mend pattern paper from Sassafras Lass just lends itself to yumminess!!!

This came out so sweet! Love how she attached the ribbon with a stapler.

Now it's your turn!  Hopefully, you'll have a few minutes this week where you can create a card based off of this sketch and get your card linked to Mr. Linky by Sunday, February 6th at 8PM EST.  You will have a chance at being GDT and getting 15% off your next LCOM order.  Can't wait to see what you come up with! Hurry and get yours made, so we can stop over and give you some scrappy love!

Card Sketch #17

Happy Winter! BRRR!!! So, why not curl up with some paper and chipboard and make a card from this FAB sketch! Joanne Keminen designed the sketch and Anita said, "Let's use some chipboard on the card!" So the team went on their merry way and created some beautiful cards to give you some scrappy inspiration!

Here's Joanne's card to go with her sketch!

Isn't this amazing?! The fabric, the pattern yellow paper, the prima flowers and to top it off the tulle flower!

Here's Anita's...

What a FAB Valentine's Day card! Love the pearls and that red chipboard heart just pops off the page!

Next up is...Rusha

She didn't have any chipboard, so she cut those stars out herself and added that bling! Don't they just add  a little more "star quality"  to the card?

Then we have...Kimberly

Love those flowers and the bling on the chipboard.  Then she brings it all together with that polka dot green ribbon!

And last, we have Monique's card...

She used some Tim Holtz chipboard and then that newsprint flower just pops off the page! Wouldn't you love to receive this card in the mail to tell you hello...?

There you have it! Now, didn't that warm you up a little and get you thinking about all the wonderful things you could do with this sketch and some chipboard? Then , go make it and come back here and show us your card, so we can go and give  you some scrappy love! You will have a chance at getting the Captured Card of the Week blinkie and being the next Guest Card Team Member for the week of February 6th.

Card Sketch #16

Here's the sketch for this week.  Susie made it for us this week and she asked us to include either a star or stitching on our card.

Here's Team B's take on the sketch with the added extra challenge!

Look at the cool stitching on Sue's card.

Love the blue swirly pattern paper with some glimmermist sprayed on there!

That ribbon just adds so much to this card with the vintagey looking earrings.

Love the little pompom piece that's added to the little girl.

And our Guest Designer this week is no stranger!!!
Please welcome Lynne Forsythe back to the LCOM Card Team this week!

My name is Lynne Forsythe and I hail from the little but beautiful state of New Hampshire in the States. I am the proud mother of two amazing teenagers, Melysa 17 and Douglas 15 whom I derive great inspirations from. I have been scrappin' for about 5 years and am always looking for new things to try, learn then share (which I love to do!!!)!!! I would categorize my style as Distressed Shabbiness. I love working with inks, in all forms, vintage trims, fabrics and dies, and oooohhhh the wonderful things one can create.
In my quest for scrappy knowledge, I have been Copic Certified and one of my greatest achievement, Ranger Certified!!! I LOVE ALL THINGS RANGER!!! I am on several manufacturer Design Teams, a Challenge DT and am an Alum Sketch DT'er here at Let's Capture These Sketches. I have been published in Stamper's Sampler, Somerset Gallery, and an online magazine, Altered Arts......my life goal is to be published in Somerset Memories.
I currently work at my LSS, Generations of Memories, where I manage, teach, buy for...pretty much everything but pay the bills. If you are ever in Littleton, NH dooooo stop in!!

And here's her FAB card!

Captured Card of the Week

Here's the Captured Card of the Week!
Wowsers! Look at this!! Absolutely stunning and beautiful!!! I wonder if she'll tell us how she made that flower?

Card Sketch #15

The Card Team at LCOM would like to wish you a Happy New Year! May 2011 be filled with happiness and good health!
Here's our new sketch for this week! I am so excited because January marks a milestone.  The Card Team is taking turns making our sketches.  So, be ready for some swell innovative sketches coming your way! To start us off this week Kimberly Figures designed our sketch.  She also picked our added challenge.

And the added extra challenge is to use the pantone color for 2011.

And here's what our designers created for you this week:

Look at that sparkly pattern paper.  It looks gorgeous!

Rusha is getting us to start thinking about Valentine's Day.  Look at this sweet couple loving each other up.  Didn't she do a fab job coloring them in?

What a cool flower she made! Love the bling and pearls behind it with the stamped greeting in the corner!

I love how Kimberly used the heptagon inside the scallop.  Love all the different hues from pink to red! And she must be trying to remind us that there is a Birthday Crop coming next weekend!

So, let's see your card made with your take on the sketch and the pantone color for 2011.  Can't wait until you link your card here to Mr. Linky, so that we can go and give you some scrappy love! You may even be Captured as Card of the Week and be our Guest Designer for the week of January 23rd and get 15% off your next LCOM scrap order from the store! You have until Saturday, January 8th at 11PM EST.  Make sure you stop back on Friday, January 7th for the blog hop!
