Magnetic Scrapbook Page!

I often take a picture that I would love to scrapbook right away...but time usually isn't on my side so they often get left in the "to do" pile.  With this magnetic board I can quickly add a title, some simple journaling or a favorite quote to match my picture and it's done just like that.  When I've got some time I can then make a page using what is already on my magnetic board!

To make a magnetic board you'll first need to purchase a round pizza pan from your local dollar store...you'll want an inexpensive one because magnets don't stick to the expensive/heavy ones!

Next decorate the tray...I used papers and embellishment from the Basic Grey Hello Luscious Line from the LCOM store!

Then add magnets to the back of a clothespin and Basic Grey Wheels...

Finally, add your title, picture and journaling!

Have a great day,

It doesn't matter how you mix and match any of the papers in the Hometown Summer collection, they always go together! And at least one side of each of the double-sided Hometown Summer papers have patterns that can be used to create layouts for any age, any occassion. A little more Lilybee!

Cards
by Nicole Nowosad

Supplies:
Patterned paper:

Lilybee Happily Lost collection pack

 Patterned Paper:
Tattered Angels glimmer mist in Tattered Rose and Patina
*******************************************************************
It's that time of the month again where I share a few cards that I made with SOME of the scraps from my May goodies!

The colours in the Happily Lost pack are just perfect for cards/layouts for any occasion!

I really love the look of the Jillibean Soup corrugated frames on the front of cards. Tie a little twine or string with a mini tag makes a super cute card!

On the last card, I made the doily with a circle of white cardstock and a corner punch!  Then, I added one of the gorgeous and alterable Prima flowers to a few of the cards!

Here is the flower normally - which is pretty darn pretty on its' own!
... and here it is after I sprayed a little glimmer mist into the cap and dabbed a q-tip into the cap..then I dabbed a little of the mist onto the flower.  The patina blue near the middle and the rose pink colour around the edges.
I think it adds a nice easy hint of colour. :)

Hope you enjoyed the cards... and hey - it is almost JUNE!!!!

All Smiles

I'm back with another layout using Lily Bee Designs Picket Fence. I know I've said it before, but I've really enjoyed working with this line! The colors are right up my alley...purples, greens and blues! All very girly, which is perfect for this picture of some of the girls in the neighborhood at our annual block party last year.
I had fun with mists again, coloring the LYB Doilies to match the colors of the papers!

I made the daisies and added the pearls in the center to make them shine a little.

And of course I had to add one of my new favorite things... butterflies!! I created their antennae by stringing some seed beads on a piece of wire. A few swirly stitches and voila! I'm now a true fan of Lily Bee's Picket Fence! I'm planning on trying out some of their other lines soon... all available at LCOM. Check them out, I know you'll love them as much as I do!

More Picket Fence

Hi Everyone, I'm back with some more Picket Fence by Lily Bee Designs! This is only me second time working with Lily Bee and I LOVE their products. The papers are so easy to coordinate and the collection kits even contain six sheets of their card stock to match the patterned papers. This is my husband and daughter during our recent trip to the Florida Keys. After a day out driving, we stopped at a restaurant next to the seven mile bridge (yes, seven... not too good for those of us who are not fond of bridges!)

The papers just ask to be distressed and inked, and cry for stitching! I misted some Maya Road lace to match the color scheme and made the flowers by hand.

A few hand stitched elements and I was done! It was a fun layout to create! I'll be back next week with my last layout using Lily Bee! Stop by LCOM soon to get yours!

BFF

BFF
Krissy Clark McKee

Warm spring weather means that our family is outside more, which leaves less time for scrapbooking; however, that problem is easily resolved simply by combining the great sketches found here at Let's Capture Our Memories along with the wonderfully coordinated Pink Paislee papers and embellishments from the LCOM STORE!

For my project, I started with Sketch #79, found at the LCOM Sketch Blog. It's actually several weeks old, but it seemed to fit my very cute, very colorful Pink Paislee Hometown Summer papers.

I chose plain kraft paper as my background so that it would further set off the bright greens, pinks and yellows of the patterned cardstock in the Hometown Summer collection. The different patterns and colors all coordinate so well together that you may have a hard time narrowing your choices!!!

I used this sheet of paper (called Summer Fun)to create my banner-style title:

I simply cut out the appropriate squares to spell out my title and then used a piercing tool to make holes so that my baker's twine could be threaded through.

Pretty cute and so quick and easy to do!

The adorable orange soda card and the sun and cloud were both included in the Die Cut Pieces pack. They perfectly compliment the Pink Paislee papers!

I adhered pop dots to the back of my orange soda card and sewed around the border so as to make it stand out even more.

The Hometown Summer papers are sooooo cute, I even used them to make my flowers!

Stay tuned until next week when I will be back with another Pink Paislee project. Until then, check out all the wonderful spring goodies LCOM is getting in its STORE each week!!!

Easter

Hi Everyone... I'm back this month with some fabulous papers from Lily Bee's Picket Fence Line. These papers are so pretty... perfect for those spring and Easter pictures! Every year I try to take a picture of our weeping cherry tree in bloom, and it was in full bloom this Easter. Perfect photo opportunity!

To add a bit of frill, I misted some Webster's Pages trim and gathered it using score tape.

I also colored some of these pretty paper flowers from Prima. They are white in the package, and perfect for misting!

And to keep the trend going, I misted some Maya road lace trim to add some color to the white space in the upper corner!

Stop by the LCOM store soon to check out the pretty new lines from Lily Bee including Picket Fences and the gorgeous flowers from Prima.
