It's time for me to share another project I did this month using My Little Shoebox's Sew Cute line!
I love the fabulous grid paper in the line and knew right away that I wanted to use it with some misting!

I misted a title made out of the Maya Road Love Words - they are SO cute and take misting so well too. I sewed right over them easily with my machine!
Did you notice the strip of tulle along the right edge of the layout? Yep, I tied up the tulle and added some ribbons to it at each gathered spot. Also, I added some smaller pieces of tulle to the centers and in the layers of the circle "flowers" I made. It is such a cheap and easy little touch that you can add to almost anything!

Hope you are enjoying all the projects the Marketing Team has been sharing this month with you! Stay tuned for more!

Make sure you check out all the specials and NEW stock coming in at the Let's Capture Our Memories store!

Beautiful Prima, Beautiful Layout

Beautiful
by Krissy Clark McKee

I'm back to share with you another layout using one of my favorite scrapbooking products ever - Prima. If you like Shabby Chic as much as I do, then Prima items are a "must have" for you!

I LOVED using Prima papers to make this layout. The muted designs are so soft and romantic, and they have wonderful vintage-y images which are perfect for fussy-cutting!

Prima's rub-ons, which I had never used before, went on extremely smoothly with no tearing or breaking apart as I have sometimes found with other rub-ons. And I thought the flourishes with both crystal and lace were so elegant and eye-catching - I couldn't wait to use them! But one of my favorite additions to my layout is the lace doily, which is actually part of the Prima PACKAGING that I cut up and used. It was so pretty, I couldn't resist!

Finally - Prima flowers! I can't say enough about them! Even though the ones I used are all from the same collection, they are each slightly different and unique. All are beautiful and have incredible detail!

So now that you've seen all the fun goodies Prima and the LCOM STORE have to offer, what are you waiting for?! Go get started on your own shabby chic layout today!

Until next time...

Crazy Daisy

I'm back with my final layout using Bella Blvd.'s Tail Waggers and Cat Naps. I've had so much fun with this line, I hate to see it end! Well, it probably won't since I do have an endless supply of cat pictures. My husband is convinced that I will be that nice old lady who scraps pictures of her many cats!!!

This layout is of my kitty Daisy... she's a unique cat, very passionate we like to say... she either passionately loves what you're doing, or not... a bit unstable, but lovable and silly just the same.

I had fun adding buttons and some of the fabulous chipboard pieces and stickers. The swirled flowers were made using papers from the line.

I tried make my stitching look like a yarn ball... not sure if I succeeded, but it added to the "crazy" effect!

I cut the bread tag with a die I have from MFT and punched one of the paw prints from the border page to add a little "something " to the top of the layout.

It was a fun layout to create!! I'll be back next month with some fabulous papers from Fancy Pants Beach Babe line... be sure to check back on Friday to see what Krissy has created for us!

Princess

Princess by Krissy Clark McKee

Have you admired the gorgeous Glitz Design papers you've seen in the LCOM STORE but think they are just too pretty to cut up and use? Well, I'm here to show you that not only should you get them and use them, but you should consider tearing, curling, wrinkling, inking and painting them!

Glitz Design papers are made for the shabby chic look! I found the perfect sketch here at the LCOM SKETCH BLOG and thought it was exactly what I needed for my shabby chic layout.

I wrinkled my background paper and then rubbed distress ink over it to highlight the wrinkles. I then sprayed it with glimmer mist, and finally I added a couple of rub-ons to give the paper a worn, vintage look.

Next I cut out two strips of my dark red Glitz paper. I tore the edges and covered the torn edges pretty heavily with distress ink. I then rolled the torn pieces of paper and painted over everything with clear crackle paint, which hardened the edges and kept them in place.

After adding two border-punched strips, it was time for embellishments. I not only hand-cut several butterflies from my Glitz Design paper, but I mixed up several different packages of Prima flowers and added some blingy Prima Say It With Crystal flourishes. The flourishes didn't quite fit my layout so I simply cut them up to get the look I wanted! I LOVE the way Prima's flowers and flourishes compliment each other, don't you?

Have you seen all the beautiful Prima flowers in the LCOM STORE lately? There are so many wonderful styles and colors to choose from! In addition, LCOM also carries Prima flourishes, butterflies and even trim! They all contain the wonderful detail Prima is known for and are guaranteed to make your layout go from pretty to stunning!

Pay PURR View

OK, I know my title is a bit "punny" but I really couldn't resist! I'm back with more Bella Blvd. Tail Waggers and Cat Naps and my two crazy kitties, Daisy and Rosie. My girls are indoor cats, but they LOVE to watch what's going on outside. An open window or door provides them with hours of entertainment. It's like cable TV for cats!

For the clouds, I painted some Maya Road Chipboard pieces with some pearl paint and added a touch of blue around the edges using mists. The sun is also Maya Road, and the little bird is a My Little bit of Whimsy pin.

I made the yellow flower using some Maya Road Pleat Ribbon and a Gluber. It was super easy and I love how it turned out! The little bee is also a Whimsy.

Finally, to finish it off, I created a little banner using all the great colors from the Tail Waggers and Cat Naps Line.

That's it for now, I'll be back next week with another LO featuring my crazy cats and Bella Blvd.'s Tail Waggers and Cat Naps. Stop by LCOM soon to get yours!

Mini book project

Mini book
by Nicole Nowosad
Supplies used:

*************************************************************************
to make this mini album, all I used was:
2 pieces of chipboard cut to 3.25" square (for the front and back covers)
1 piece of cardstock
a piece of ribbon about 14" long
Super strong adhesive like Scortape

(video is about 10 mins - sorry, I like to talk)

Opened up, this is what your album should look like:
These albums are super addictive and you will make them over and over again!
I know there are a lot of steps, but once you make a couple, you don't even need them!

Here are a few close up shots of the album I made:

I used a lot of the die cut shapes in this album - they were just the perfect size for the album. I trimmed a few down and used them on multiple pages. Added a few punched shapes out of the patterned papers and some Technique Tuesday stamps too.

I left some spaces for photos inside, as this is intended for a baby gift, but you could definitely add in your own photos too!
Hope you will give this a try !

Glitz and Prima - A Perfect Combination

I Feel Pretty
by Krissy Clark McKee

Have you ever seen paper and knew that you just HAD to have it? That's exactly how I felt when I saw the Glitz Afternoon Muse collection! The patterns are soft and dreamy and are perfect for a shabby chic or vintage layout! But Glitz doesn't stop with just pretty papers - they have included gorgeous title and journaling stickers, book pages and "What Nots" so that all of your embellishments are perfectly coordinated!

And what goes perfectly with shabby chic and vintage? Prima flowers and flourishes, of course! I've used Prima's Innoscence Flowers, white flowers which are designed to be misted, dyed, painted - whatever you want. (I used glimmer mist and Stickles glitter glue to decorate my flowers.)

If you want your Prima Flowers ready-made, don't worry! The STORE has tons of beautiful Prima goodies in every color, size, and shape imaginable!

The STORE also has wonderful Prima Flourishes in clear, black, pink, brown and other colors. I think they look so elegant on layouts - especially when paired with butterflies made from Glitz paper!

So what are you waiting for? Head on over to the LCOM STORE and mix and match your own Prima and Glitz!

Supplies:
Glitz Design Afternoon Muse Paper (Banner, Floral)
Glitz Design Afternoon Muse Title Stickers

Some Tail Waggers and Cat Naps

Hi Everyone... I was very excited to get to work with Bella Blvd.'s Tail Waggers and Cat Naps this month! I have two very crazy kitties, who provide me with tons of photo ops, so this line is right up my alley! For my first layout, I decided to scrap the pictures of my cat Rosie who found an ant in a wastebasket and wouldn't stop until it was hers!

I loved the pet themed chipboard pieces and stickers! The paw print from the page of fun cute cuts paper was also a perfect addition.

Finally as a border I stitched around the edge in a random way and added some little ants made from brads.

That's it for now, I'll be back next week with some more Tail Waggers and Cat Naps!
