My Budding Artist

Just like their Mom, my kiddos are very interested in arts and crafts. My oldest daughter has started to scrapbook, and she's already pretty good at it! This layout is of my youngest daughter. She had a lot of fun doing some outdoor finger painting on a hot day last summer. I cleaned up by dunking her and my son in the baby pool while I hosed down the patio set.

I used Miss Caroline Dilly Dally from My Mind's Eye. I love this line so much! It's super versatile and the colours work with everything.

I made the demin flower out of an old pair of jeans. I die cut the pieces with my Big Shot and a Sizzix flower die. You could also handcut the flowers just as easily. The yellow flower to the left is a premade My Mind's Eye layered sticker and the one to the right with the brad in the centre is also a premade My Mind's Eye embellishment.

Here's another look at the denim flower. It's made up of 7 pieces. The bottom layer is the largest die cut flower, on top of that is a randomly arranged piece of twine, also by My Mind's Eye, followed by another die cut flower. Next, I added a 1" circle punched out of a piece of My Mind's Eye paper and I added the brad and die cut tag on top of that. The brad is also holding the flower together. Lastly, I added a stick pin underneath the circle. This was super fast and easy to create.

Here is a close up of the embellishment cluster on the right hand side of the page. I used a die cut and a brad from My Mind's Eye and layered two ribbons underneath. The tickets are cut from one piece of My Mind's Eye paper, and then I added 2 coordinating buttons.
