LCOM - October Color Spot

Good morning everyone!

Welcome to Fall!  Have the color of the leaves been turning a beautiful shade of red, orange or yellow in your neck of the woods?  They sure are here!  I love this time of year.  There's just something special about the warm, fuzzy feeling I get when I'm out in about in the woods this time in the year.

Speaking about warm, fuzzy feelings, this month's Color Spot is that and so much more!  I always love searching the web for that perfect picture to create the spot each month.  And I love it when I land on one that makes me sing inside!  This month's spot comes Design Seeds.  You should now by now that I love this place!  This one made me sing inside for only one specific reason:  my daughter.  In recent months, my 9 year old daughter has, in various forms, learned how to knit.  She has learned to knit with looms, her arms (so cool!) and as of couple of weeks ago, with knitting needles.  She has done this on her own (with a little help from YouTube).  So when I landed on this image, it was the one I wanted to share with you!!  It's rich colors was perfect to showcase the Fall colors all around us.

I asked my friend and fellow Design Team member, Beatrice Lawson, if she would have a go at this month's Color Spot and I was so excited when she said yes!  She did a super job with the Spot! She shares with us the story behind her layout.:

"The International Day layout captures some memories of my son's third grade celebration of the USA. Every year each class picks a nation and for a month the children study the history and culture of that country, culminating in a huge exhibition day for the families, when the kids showcase everything the learned, all the projects they made and wear traditional costumes, both historic and current. On the last day of their International month the class celebrates with a huge potluck lunch featuring dishes from their chosen country and that year, the class studied the US. Being our neighbours and all you'd think they already know enough about it but they actually learned a lot! And they all loved the lunch!"

What I lovely way to learn new things and celebrate each other!  Such a great story!  Beatrice was so kind to send along another project to share with us.  This card is so fitting for our October Color Spot, with Thanksgiving and Halloween just around the corner!  What a fabulous card to receive!

Thank you, Beatrice, for sharing your projects with us this month!  I hope that you were inspired with this month's Color Spot and that you'll take the time to share your projects with us.  You know how I love to see them.  Make sure you link them below using our linking tool!  You can link up all month all.

Happy scrapping!
