Introducing - Melissa Mann!!

I would like to start to introduce you to the Very Talented ladies of our first DT!! Today I introduce to you - Melissa Mann!

A little bit about Melissa - I am a 28 year old Floridian who has been scrapbooking for about 4 years. I got into the scrapbooking hobby when I started to put together an album of my wedding memorabilia. I am married to a wonderful guy named Troy, whom I usually refer to as "the Mann"; and we have two dogs (a Black Labrador and a Pug/American Bulldog mix - Samantha & Lucy). I grew up in Florida; moved to Maryland to go to school; met and married my husband in Maryland and then realized I was just not cut out to handle Northern winters and moved back down to Florida in 2005 :-) I really enjoy scrapbooking as a creative outlet, a destresser, and a way to meet new people that share the same hobby!

Welcome to the Team Melissa!!

Jenn is in pieces challenge

Happy Monday ladies! I have to say I am loving the card making! I guess all I needed was to rub (virutal) elbows with some amazing card crafters to get me in the groove. I have been trying all kinds of new things and this week is no exception.

My challenge for you this week is: incorporate paper piecing into your card.

It can be the entire card or an element of your card. You might have some paper piecing patterns already, but if not there are lots available on-line. Here's one spot: http://www.scrapbooksetc.com/magazine/piecetalk/index.html

I had never done paper piecing before. Some of the patterns I came across were a little daunting with their teeny pieces, but I saw lots of patterns that were much less complicated. Have a look at what the team created:

Love to see what you can come up with ladies!! Leave us a link to your card in the comments section or stop over to the LCOM forum and share your card there.

Hey there, it's Monday which means we have another great card challenge for you today. We'd like for you to make a card with stitching on it. It can be hand stitching, machine stitching or even faux stitching. The team did a great job and we can't wait to see what you're gonna do with this challenge. Have fun and be sure to post a comment here with a link to your card. Have a great day, Darlene
