LCOM~ March Scrapper of the Month!! JJ Sobey

Please join us in congratulating JJ Sobey - our March Scrapper of the Month!!

JJ's work is always beautiful and interesting, no matter the subject! And she has two gorgeous children to scrap! JJ is always willing to lend her opinion, talent and advice to the boards, thank you JJ!!

We asked JJ to tell us a bit about herself, answer a few questions, and share a few of her favorite Layouts with us!

"Hi, my name is JJ, and I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. For those who didn't do any better in geography than I did in school, I'm about one hour north of Plattsburgh, New York. My husband and I were married in 2001, in a costumed, Renaissance wedding (there’s my weird fact for the day). We have a four year old boy, and a one year old baby girl. My kids are the reason that I started scrapbooking. I resisted the hobby for many years, because I knew it would be addicting. No surprise - now I'm firmly hooked!

I've been crafting in one form or another since I was big enough to hold a crayon. Sewing was my biggest obsession, and I go back and forth to that still, as the muses strike, but it's kind of taken a backseat to the scrapbooking. And I'm OK with that. I mostly scrap 12x12, but I dabble in other formats. Some call my style Shabby Chic, but my style might be better described as ‘eclectic’ – some days I like simple, other days – not so much. Lately my style has been trending towards more distressed and grungy.

As you may have already realized, besides Scrapbooking – some of my other addictions are Starbucks, Sushi and Styx (classic rock). But not all at the same time - Peppermint Mocha and Spicy Scallops just don't mix. (Styx is, of course, perfect with either.)"

My guilty pleasure is...Starbucks.

I can't imagine life without...Caffeine. I know I should say my kids, but I haven't been a Mom that long, so I remember what life was like pre-kids. I guess I would say I can't imagine life without caffeine, and I don't want to imagine life without my kids.

You would never guess it but I...am painfully shy. And I used to dress up as a Klingon. And I met my DH on a movie set.

I would love to win a shopping spree to...Any high end fabric store in New York! Woot!!

My favorite scrappy item in the LCOM store right now is...Prima pretty much sums it up. All the yummy Prima!

If I could be on any tv game or reality show it would be..."Whose Line is it Anyway" (or if it was a sitcom about me, it would be called "You did what?!?)

If a genie granted me three wishes I'd wish for...to have my Dad back, financial Independence, a house in Mahone Bay. (I guess that rules out the date with Pierce Brosnan right? or David Tenant?)

My least favorite chore is...Dishes. Despise the dishes.

I have a scrappy crush on...Gaelle Fauglas , Francoise Melzani and Kim 'Kimmieprout'
(I can never remember her last name! Doh!)

Here are a few of JJ's layouts!

Thanks JJ and Congrats again!!!
