Jenn's Intro Card Challenge.

One word ladies - STAMP! I'm conquering my fear of stamping and going for it. Use your stamps to create a feature on your card, maybe it's using a stamp to create a custom background, or embellishment? Just stamp!

FYI...I totally snitched my card idea from someone...I saw it online, but I don't remember where. Sorry random online card maker!

Please make sure to link your creation via the comment section so we can enter your name in a RAK that will be drawn for next Monday, July 20th. Woot! Free goodies.

Sandi's Intro Card Challenge

When you are finished post a link in the comment section, so I can leave you some love!!! And so we can enter your name in a RAK that will be drawn on Monday July 20th!! How cool is that?!

DARLENE

Darlene

Hi my name is Darlene, I am so happy to be the coordinator for the LCOM card team. I have been scrapbooking and cardmaking for just over five years and like most, I'm hopelessly addicted to this craft. I've always been involved in crafting of some sort but scrapbooking is such a personal craft that it's quicly become my favorite.
I live in beautiful Nova Scotia and in October my honey and I will celebrate our 25th wedding anniverary. We have two grown children, a son 22 and a daughter 20 and we are so happy to be adding a daughter-in-law to our family in August.

I'm looking forward to working with this great group of card makers and getting to know each of you through the love of cardmaking.
Happy crafting, Darlene

DANA

Dana

Hi Everyone! My name is Dana and I am extremely excited to be here at LCOM. Being chosen to be on the Card Design Team is a privilege and honour.

I live in the beautiful Maritimes with my hubby of 13 years and my 11 year old son. I love spending time with my family, reading and doing crafts. My most fun thing to do is scrapbooking.

I started on this journey 10 years ago after having my son and becoming a Mom. I would say that my style is shappy chic with a touch of whimsy, but it is evolving. I have been blessed with a wonderful family and they are the focus of many of my layouts. The past two years has found me jumping into card creations and my new dabble into sketch designs has me hooked and wanting to do more. I have been on other design teams and have had the opportunity to have my sketches used in On-line crops.

With scrapbooking comes the opportunity to share and inspire each other. To find great ways to capture those memories of yesterday, is something that we all want to do and what better place to do that, than here at LCOM. I am looking forward to much fun and creativity together.

JESSY

Jessy

Hi, I'm Jessy Christopher, 28, a preschool teacher and photographer here in Malaysia. Mixed parentage of Indonesian, Chinese and Dutch. I've been married to my sweetheart, Eric for almost 4 years now & and we are proud owners of 2 fur-kids. We do not have children at the moment, hopefully very soon!

My precious students, friends and family members (inculding my fur-kids) are my fav subject. I started on paper scrapbooking nearing to 2 years now. I found digital scrapbooking in October 2007, stumbled upon it while browsing. Have been very occupied with scrapbooking since then. I do not have a fixed scrapbooking style because I am always wanting to try something new.

I am a DT for Scrap-It-Lah, a challenge blog & a resident designer for local scrapbooking store - Papier Love. Also a creative advisor for Singaporean based forum called Scrappin Kids. What I love the most about scrapbooking is the freedom to express myself. There's no boundaries, I can do whatever I want on my layout. Still consider myself as fairly new to digital and also paper scrapbooking but it has become quite a passion and when I have any free time, it's the first thing to do in my list! I am pretty excited to invited by Darlene to join the LCOM card team and I can't wait to play with the challenges along with you.

SANDI

Sandi

Hi, my name is Sandi Johnson. I live in a rural town near Gettysburg, PA. I have been married to my husband Craig for 17 years and we have three children. Gabrielle is 14, Katarina is 12 and Jeremy is 8. We also have three dogs: a Goldren Retriever named Bentley, a minpin/toyfox terrier named Stamper and a beagle named Piper. We enjoy camping together in the summer months, playing board games and cards together. Besides scrapping and cardmaking, I enjoy watching "chickflick" movies and reading a good book.

During the school year, I teach third graders and during the summer I get to be a stay at home Mom. I began cardmaking right before Gabrielle was born when I went to a SU! workshop when I became addicted to stamps. Soon after, I went to a cM workshop and decided I could put my stamps to better use and scrapbook with them too. About a year and a half ago is when I realized there was more to SU! and don't use stamps as much. I have become addicted to finding the "newest" patterned paper and bringing it home to add to my stash. I almost feel like I am a pattern paper hoarder. Shopping for scrapbooking goodies is one of my favorite things to do. What I find myself doing lately is making atleast one card with each paperpack that I buy, so that I feel like I have used it and opened it up (even though I open all of my paperpacks up, so that I can smell the paper...mmmmmmmmmm!!! such scrappy goodness!)

I am looking forward to being part of the card team here at Let's Capture Our Memories. Thanks so much for this opportunity!!!

ROBERTA

Roberta

I am Canadian with lots of "Yankee" mixed in. I have been around for a while (loooong while). I have 2 children, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. I love reading, photography, scrapbooking, cardmaking, travel, painting and lots more. Not necessarily in that order. I have been scrapbooking for atleast 7 years. I was the card kit creator and instructor for Pawson Scrapbooking.

I am very pleased to be asked to be part of LCOM Card Challenge Team. I have already seen how incredibly talented all of you are and I can't wait to see your interpretations of our challenges.

JENN

Jenn

Yes, you are reading this correctly....I am on a cardmaking team! Cards and I have had a tenuous relationship in the past, however I made it one of my goals to get on better terms with card making and so here I am. I'm hoping the talent of my fellow card makers rub off! I am pleased to part of the LCOM team and hope you enjoy what we have in store for you... we'll learn together.

A graphic designer at heart, I am currently the marketing director for a communications and audio-video retailer whose head office is in Moncton, New Brunswick. While a good part of my day is spent balancing budgets and formulating marketing plans, my favorite part of the role is the time spend creating the company's print material. The progression from designing at work to designing as a hobby was a natural one; I was hooked the moment I tried scrapbooking. My current favorite subject to scrap is my 2 1/2 year old daughter Sofia, though every now and again, you'll catch a glimpse of my husband Brad and our beagle Rocky. when I;m not scrapping I love being silly with Sofia, shopping, reading, and cooking (but not cleaning!).
