Introducing - Jenn DiPaolo!!

Today I would like to introduce you to the 'last' very Talented Member of our DT - Jenn DiPaolo!!

A bit about Jenn - A graphic designer at heart, I am currently the marketing director for a communications and audio-video retailer whose head office is in Moncton, New Brunswick. While a good part of my day is spent balancing budgets and formulating marketing plans, my favorite part of the role is the time spend creating the company's print material. The progression from designing at work to designing as a hobby was a natural one; I was hooked the moment I tried scrapbooking. My current favorite subject to scrap is my 2 1/2 year old daughter Sofia, though every now and again, you'll catch a glimpse of my husband Brad and our beagle Rocky. when I'm not scrapping I love being silly with Sofia, shopping, reading, and cooking (but not cleaning!).

Welcome to the Team Jenn!!

Introducing - Zoe Nemburt!!

Today I would like to introduce to you another Talented member of the LCOM Design Team - Zoe Nemburt!!

A bit about Zoe - I live in the beautiful province of Nova Scotia, with my husband of 7 years and our 3 children Yasmin 7, Aydin 5, and Ceyda 2, I work for Canada Post by day as a casual letter carrier and scrap obsessively on my days off and evenings. My husband just graduated as a Carpenter and he also volunteers for the local Fire Department.
I was born in southern England and we all moved here to Canada in 2006 and have never looked back. This is our new home and we are proud to be Nova Scotians!
I've always enjoyed playing with paper and have dabbled in scrapbooking for many years, however in February of 2008 I got bitten by the scrapping bug and have never looked back. I am now proud to call myself a scrap-a-holic. I wouldn't say I have a creative process as such, I love to create so I do! :-) It's exciting to sit down with new inspiration or a new project and you never quite know what you will end up with! My biggest scrappy fan is my 7 year old daughter, she loves mommy's work and wants to be just like me when she grows up! (her words not mine lol) Although I will always cherish the pages and scrapbooks I have created, I see scrapbooking as my artistic outlet. I actually failed art at school - they didnt like my final project which was a blue garbage collage! I am getting into altering and card making more of recent too! I recently altered a piece of driftwood I found on the beach!

September Scrapper of the Month - Gisèle

Please join me in congratulating Gisèle - our very first LCOM scrapper of the month!

Gisèle is such a vibrant member of the board, constantly sharing her creations, providing fantastic inspiration for other members, plus she's great about sharing tips, tricks and techniques that help us all become better scrappers. The forum would not be the same without her!

I asked Gisèle to tell us a little bit about herself, answer some probing questions and share some of her favorite scrappy projects.

My name is Gisèle and I am a scrapaholic by choice. I am the oldest of 3 children, born and raised in Moncton, NB. I studied at the Université de Moncton and have 2 degrees in Elementary Education. I have been retired from teaching for 2 years now after 32 years teaching in mostly French Immersion classes. I am a Jaycee Senator (Junior Chamber of Commerce). I am so flattered to be chosen as the 1st ever L-COM Scrapper of the month. It’s so FUN! How can you not love to scrapbook?

My guilty pleasure is... popcorn, chocolate, candy. Oh did I tell you I have a sweet tooth???

I can't imagine my life without... scrapbooking and family! Not necessarily in that order!

You would never guess it, but I... love the art of scrapbooking. I have always been a crafty person and have had a small business with my tole painting. When I was introduced to scrapbooking approximately 6 years ago, I said, what scrapbooking??? No, not me, I have no children!!! Well I guess I was wrong, I started taking classes and went to crops and the more I did, the more I wanted to do. I did myself, trips and adventures but when my 2 grand-nieces were born, well all H*&* broke loose! It was a new adventure and I was LOVING it Scrapbooking is my crafty outlet and I can also keep family and other memories. I even went on a Canadian Scrapbooking Cruise last February, how awesome is that?? I have met some great friends and I so love to check the L-COM site! Checking what’s new in the store on the boards, sketches or This and That Challenges and Cyber Crops are my fav.

I would love to win a shopping spree to... New York or Paris!

My favourite scrappy item in the LCOM store right now is...are you kidding me?? 1 fav?? Come on!! Anything new is great, but I seem to be in love with kraft papers or shaped pattern papers at the moment.

If I could be on any TV game or reality show, it would be... the new show Genevieve or Sarah’s House, Cottage whatever?? They rock!

If a genie granted me three wishes, I’d wish for... a debt-free retirement, to travel to France again and of course a new car!

My least favourite chore is... cleaning the bathroom! Does anyone like that, now really, come on girlies??? On the other hand I love doing laundry!!!

I have a scrappy crush on... Amanda (PEI girl), her work is awesome!!!! She has created some amazing kits for L-COM. I loved the 1st one she did and they are very much worth it as you have the latest scrappy goodies and a great designer with instructions and pictures to create amazing LOs and still have lots of leftovers.

My 3 latest favourites are:

If you would like to see some of my work please check my blog at http://giselejulien.blogspot.com/.

Thanks Gisèle for making LCOM such a great place to be!

Introducing - Guiseppa Gubler!!

Today I would like to introduce you to another very talented member of our new DT - Seppa!

A bit about Seppa - I have been scrapbooking for over 14 years. Yes, since the days of bright colored cardstock and scalloped scissors. In that amount of time I have created over 60 albums. I am motivated by my family and preserving our memories and because it is just plain fun! I am a stay at home mom, so I get to play with my scrapbook supplies frequently! I use a lot of clean lines in my scrapbooking, but I often go out of my comfort zone and mess things up a little. I love to make my embellishments pop right off the page. I love to be challenged to test my creative abilities. There are so many fun new scrapbooking products out! I want to learn more and provide my ideas to others.
Welcome to the Team Seppa!!
