Meet the April Marketing Team

We have gathered a great group of talented designers to work with some HOT products from LCOM in April!

Help me welcome April's team:

 Kate Vickers

Hi! My name is Kate Vickers, and I am a wife and mother of 3 small children, ages 7, 4 and 2. I live in Burlington, Ontario, 40 minutes outside of Toronto. I have scrapbooked seriously for about 6 years now, but I have been interested in arts and crafts since I was old enough to hold a crayon. My scrapbooking style is kind of eclectic and a bit cluttered. I’m not a big fan of using a lot of white space, as I’m sure that you can tell. If I see and empty space, I feel compelled to fill it! Fast!

My other passion is horseback riding, however, it’s a very expensive and time-consuming sport. I'm slowly getting back into that now because my oldest daughter has started riding and loves it as much as I do. I rode for more than 20 years and owned two of my own horses. I competed in Eventing, and hunter/jumper schooling shows.

My real job is part-time freelance Web Project Manager, Designer and Developer. I have my own small business – Vickers Media. I have also been lucky to be able to do freelance work for some other major Canadian marketing firms. My specialty is open source content management systems like Joomla and WordPress. What I love most about my job is that I make my own hours and I still have a lot of free time to do the things that I love, like spending time with my family and scrapbooking!

 Melissa Mann

Hey everyone! My name is Melissa Mann and I live on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico in Pensacola, FL! I'm married to the best guy, Troy, and we have two dogs, Sammy and Lucy, and one cat, Daisy. I first started scrapbooking in 2005 - shortly after we moved here from Maryland. Since then, it has slowly overtaken our spare bedroom! I have been privileged to be published in CARDS, Scrapbook Trends, & Create magazines. I also design for American Crafts, Lily Bee, SEI, Lawn Fawn, and The Green Frog Studio. My day job consists of being a team lead for the front desk team at a condominium resort in Perdido Key, FL. I am super excited to be part of the LCOM marketing team for the month of April!

 Michelle Gallant

Hi, my name is Michelle Gallant and I live in New Brunswick, Canada with my husband of 11 years (but we've been together 20), and our 2 beautiful children. I started scrapbooking about 4 years ago after I went to a class with a co-worker. I was instantly hooked! My style has changed over the years and I still don't know what I would call it. My love of scrapbooking has also evolved into a love of photography! I'm still learning on this one.

Sherri Funk

Hi I'm Sherri Funk, from Manitoba, Canada.  I am a married to the sweetest guy I know, and together we have three girls.  It has been 6 years since I discovered the art of documenting my family's story with pretty paper.  I love the power of story and believe that we all have one worth leaving behind for future generations.  The death of my mom 11 years ago, helped affirm to me how important this hobby is.  There was so much I had yet to discover about her when she passed away.  Scrapping is a way for me to ensure my girls have access to the real me: the mother, the wife, the friend.  I believe there is no better, creative way to capture and document one's story. Nicole Nowosad

Hey everyone! My name is Nicole Nowosad and I live in Winnipeg, MB Canada! I've been married for what seems like forever - lol, and we have two boys (9 &6) and one princess (3), not to mention our fur baby Kirby. I first started scrapbooking in 1999 - shortly after I was married. I have been very luck to be published in Canadian Scrapbooker, Scrapbook Trends, and Paper Creations magazines. I also design for a few kit american kit clubs, Creative Scrappers and Jillibean Soup! When I am not scrapbooking, I am a type A soccer mom/taxi driver and full -time government employee! I am very excited to continue to be apart of the LCOM Marketing team as a designer and DT co-ordinator!
