Speaking of crops, when I head off for a weekend of fun-filled scrapping, I always try to organize my scrappy stash into kits ahead of time. Before I even start hunting for the perfect photo/collection combo I want to work with, I almost always find a sketch/design that truly inspires me to start scrappin' - that gets my scrappy mojo going. And that's exactly what I did before I headed to the crop this past weekend. I grabbed this awesome JJ Sobey sketch...
... paired it with this so, so, SO super design by Laura Whitaker...
... grabbed this sweet photo of my Éloïse with my two sisters, taken by Philippe Dumas...
... as well as my brand, spankin' new Basic Grey Highline collection (which I purchased at the Let's Capture Our Memories crop last weekend, but coming REALLY soon to the LCOM online store just for you!)...
... and ta-da!
So, so SO love how this turned out! Besides the Basic Grey 12X12 and 6X6 patterned papers, designer chipboard stickers and die-cut transparencies, I also used Tim Holtz rubons (directly inspired from the Laura Whitaker design!), Queen & Co. Washi Tape, October Afternoon, Jenny Bowlin and Making Memories alphas, Stampin' Up gold foil paper and stitching template, DMC floss, and a Memory Box stencil using black Brilliance ink.
Would love to hear what your inspiration recipe is! Please leave us a comment below or head on over to the LCOM Facebook page right here to post your recipe for scrappy design success!
Please join us again on Thursday, when Jocelyne will be shuffling your scrappy world one product at a time!
Happy scrapping!
