May Color Spot

Good Morning!

Welcome to May's Color Spot!  We are so happy that the weather is finally great and the snow is finally moving on!  I can't wait to get my flip flops and my Daisy Dukes (gasp!! did I say that?) out and enjoy some sunshine!!

Looking for color inspiration is sometimes hard.  I want to find something that everyone will love.  I think this month's color spot will inspire most!  It's funny how I come about choosing the images.  I was cleaning out the cupboards and came upon a case of mason jars.  Just so happened I needed them to store some items.  I later sat at the computer looking for the perfect spot to share with you.... I can upon this image by Theretroredhead2 on Etsy.

Voila!  The perfect Color Spot!

I asked my friend and fellow designer, Nicole Nosowad, if she would like to create something fabulous with this month's color scheme.  Was I ever excited when she accepted!  I love Nicole's style of scrapbooking.  I had the pleasure of taking one of her classes at Crop & Create Cornwall last September and had a blast!!  The one thing I retained from the class is to not over think your page.  As Nicole said to us:  "Cut and commit!"  And it's true!!  :)

Here's what Nicole had to say about this month's Color Spot.

"I loved the fun spring colors in the color spot - I chose to stick to a lot of blues and green, and use the yellow in the color spot as it was quite predominant in my photo. I made a simple circle stamp on my Silhouette and used it with various dye inks to create the base of the pie charts on my page, and then some Basic Grey Tea Party papers for some pie pieces ! I added some grey metallic thread, to bring in more of the blue/gray from the color piece." - Nicole Nosowad

Gorgeous!  Love all the details on the page.  And the colors are fabulous!

Check out all the details on her page.  LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!!   The pie charts, the signature stitching and the layers upon layers.  It's plain fabulous!

Thank you, Nicole, for sharing your creativity with us this month.  Make sure you follow Nicole on her blog for more inspiration!  You can also find her on Facebook, here.
