June Color Spot

Good morning!

Welcome to June!  Welcome to my birthday month!  I get really excited about the month of June.  Why?  Well, firstly, my birthday falls in June.  Secondly, so many of my family and friends share the same birthday month!!  I love sharing the celebration with them all!!  So Happy Birthday to my near and dear and to all of you who also celebrate your birthday this month!

This month's Color Spot is from Design Seeds.   It's my go to place for color inspiration.   If you are on Instagram, you can post a photo and hashtag #SeedsColor to be considered for a color scheme.  How cool is that?!!  Although this one wasn't submitted via Instagram, I fell in love with the colors! Love the grey, pink and gold!  And the pop bottles reminded me of the old Coca Cola bottles we used to get out of the cooler when we camped as a kid.  The ice still dripping from them, cold and refreshing....  :)

Since June is special for me, I decided to give this Color Spot a go! I had been itching to use the new Office Suite Collection from Fancy Pants.  It's a gorgeous collection and the colors are perfect!  So, here is my take of the June Color Spot.

This layout is inspired by a design from my friend and designer extrodinaire, Nicole Nowosad.  I had the pleasure of taking one of her classes last fall where she had us cutting our 6x6 paper pad to create these awesome paper patterns on our layouts.  The Office Suite Collection has such beautiful papers and I couldn't decide which paper to use.  This was the perfect solution!!

The Office Suite Collection has a beautiful and generous assortment of ephemera, die-cuts and 3x4 cards.  It was really hard not to add them all on my page!!!

This layout was super fun to create and I hope it will inspire you to create something amazing.  Make sure you link your creations using the link below.  We love it when you share with us!

Thank you for stopping!

LCOM - November Color Spot

Good morning!

I hope you didn't miss us to much yesterday as we purposely waited until today to post our Color Spot.  Yesterday's sketch reveal was awesome!  It also was the last for a few of our designers!  I wanted to make sure they got the spot light yesterday.  They certainly deserve it!!  If you haven't check it out yet, head on over here.  Make sure you leave them some love and join in on the fun !!

So without further adieu, welcome to the November Color Spot!  I found this picture from Carla Schauer while looking for Halloween craft ideas for my kids.  Totally not Halloween, but I just loved all the buttons and flower pot idea!  This was the one to share with you!

This month's designer is none other then me, Isabelle!  When I saw the colors in this picture I immediately knew what paper collection I was going to use.  The Birthday Bisque by Jillibean Soup was just what this Color Spot needed!!

I love the Jillibean Soup placemats, but I've always been a little intimidated by them.  I've never been sure how to use them.  Yes, I've seen them all over projects and love it all, but I've never been able to put one down on a project until now!  I love the way it turned out!

What about those Beanboard Alphas?  They are my all time favorite alphas!  They were the perfect embellisnment to add to my layout.  Nothing like a few sequins to make this celebration that much more special!

I hope you are inspired by this month's Color Spot and you will share your creations with us by linking them at the bottom of this post!  You know how we love to see what you create!!

Happy scrapping!

September Color Spot

Good morning to you all!

We're welcoming September with great anticipation.  It's Labor Day weekend which means we have a extra long weekend.  Yay!  It's our last family getaway for the summer since we are back to school and routines tomorrow!!  Yikes!!  It's been a fabulous summer and we've had the opportunity to travel and visit the Maritimes and soak in the fabulous flavors it has to offer!

Which brings me to this month's Color Spot.  I was immediately drown to this photo on Design Seeds when searching for this month's spot.  After spending countless summer days and nights admiring the scenery that surrounded us, this photo immediately took me back to those places.  I knew this was the one to share with you.

I've asked my friend and fellow design team member, Brenda Caldow if she would like to take up this month's challenge and I was so happy she accepted!  I love Brenda's designs.  There's always a touch of whimsical and fabulous to her pages.  She shares that with us today.

I love all the layers she used under her photo, especially the music sheet! Brenda tells me that the very handsome man she pictured with is Shannon Noll.  He's an Autralian Singer who was performing with Suzi Quatro at the Red Hot Summer Concert. She was so excited to attend the concert and meet him in person.

What beautiful flowers she used in her layout and check out this great wood veneer!  Don't you just love the way she distress it to match her design!  It's the perfect finishing touch!

Thank you so much Brenda for sharing such a lovely layout and a great story with us!

And because this Color Spot was inspiring for me, I thought I'd give a go at it too.  It was the perfect Color Spot to use up some of my Irish Farm House Collection from Jillibean Soup.

We R Memory Keepers makes these fabulous Sew Easy Templates.  It was perfect to add that final touch to my title.

Jillibean Soup's Butterfly Sugar Pic was the perfect partner to the die-cut butterfly.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you enjoyed our Color Spot.  Make sure you share your September Color Spot with us by linking it to the link below.  You know we always love seeing what you create!
