Some More Ad-Libbing

Hi Everyone,
I'm back with a fun mini-album using Bo Bunny's FABULOUS Ad Lib Line! A couple of months ago, my daughter was given an assignment in her art class to design a flag for Youth Art Month, which is a nationally recognized program here in the U.S. Much to our surprise, her flag design was chosen to represent the State of Massachusetts! We were so excited! It was a whirlwind of ceremonies, letters of congratulations all culminating in a trip to Washington, DC for the flag raising ceremony with the other state winners. She was also invited to meet with a Congressman and a Senator from Massachusetts! It was such an exciting time that I had to capture it all in a mini album, and the Ad Lib colors and embellishments were a perfect background!

I started out with a 6x12 canvas album from Prima's Donna Downey Line. I painted the canvas pages of the album and added the ribbon trim to coordinate with the Ad Lib Papers. I also scanned her flag design to make it part of the cover.

I decided to keep the pictures black and white since the papers were so colorful. I used the clear inserts of the album to hold newspaper articles and envelopes I made to hold all of the letters, invitations and ceremony booklets.

She even made the local newspaper!

There were so many keepsakes, I decided to make envelopes to hold them all!

Does anyone recognize that flower embellishment??

This envelope holds the congratulatory letters she received from state and town officials.

It really was an experience to remember! I've listed my supplies below. Make sure to check out LCOM for all of the wonderful Ad Lib goodies soon!

Ad Libbing

Hi Everyone! I'm back with a layout using one of my all time favorite lines... Ad Lib by Bo Bunny. Bo Bunny has always been one of my favorites, and Ad Lib is definitely in my top five!

Last June we took my daughter to her first concert, Taylor Swift. It was quite a night! Taylor came down into the audience and actually hugged my daughter! She was speechless! (which if you knew her is quite a feat!) I wanted to document as much as possible so I decided to make the journalling a major part of the design of my layout. I saved the ticket stubs and wanted to include them in the layout as well. For the title, I traced her autograph and added the little banner for color. To complete the layout, I doodled and added some of the fantastic Ad Lib rub-ons. I've listed my supplies below. This was a really fun and easy layout to complete! I'll be back at the end of the month with an Ad-Lib mini album. In the mean time, stop by LCOM and check out all of the great Ad Lib papers and embellishments!

Supplies used:

Ad Lib Paper: Improv, Pebbles, Scribbles, This n That, Verbiage, Vertigo, Wild Thing, Ad Lib
Other Paper: Bo Bunny Double Dot Cardstock in Sunflower
Rub-ons: Bo Bunny Ad Lib
Twine: Karen Fosters Scrapper Spools - Midnight

Supplies Used
Paper
Echo Park For the Record: Picket Fence, Fancy Floral, Table Cloth, Red/Cream Solid, Green/Green solid

Trim
Maya Road Yellow Ruffle Edge Trim

Embellishments
Echo Park For the Record Alpha Stickers, Maya Road Zipper Trim, Maya Road mini canvas banner, Petaloo Dragon fly

Hi Everyone!

I'm so excited to be here with my first post for the LCOM Marketing Team!! I was so lucky to get to work with Echo Park's For the Record. This is a fabulous collection. The colors are "retro" which I LOVE!! I thought they coordinated perfectly with this picture of my mother and daughter I found from last summer.

With names like tablecloth and fancy floral, I felt I couldn't do a layout without stitching!! I also had a lot of fun with the embellishments. The flowers were made by adding some scoring tape to the zipper trims and winding them around.

The Maya Yellow Ruffle trim was perfect for a banner topper and the Alpha letters fit perfectly on the pennants!

To complete, a friend found the cutest little dragon fly, which matched my mom's shirt. I spritzed him for color and hand stitched the little swirl.

That's it for today, I'll be back next week with a new layout using Echo Park's For the Record. Stop by LCOM today to peek at all of the fun papers and embellishments from this line!
