I was given this awesome Jillibean Soup 12x12 placemat to
work with. You could cut it down because it is perforated or you could even use it as photo strips. I almost cut it down but then decided kept the way it is, I could use each individual square to decorate and/or include a photo of everyone from vacation. There were 10 of us total.
I used the So Noted patterned papers and stickers by Carta Bella. I decorated each square individually but also left some sort of simple so it wasn't too distracting or overwhelming to the eye. I love how this page turned out.
A few weeks ago, I shared another page using THIS Jillibean Soup placemat. This time, I used it as a mask with some misting.
Thanks for stopping by today! Visit my blog for more details about my page.

Friday Faves
With so much stock in the LCOM store these days it is not difficult to choose some faves to share with you today.
The Soleil collection by Basic Grey collection would be fun to use on some of the summer photos I have yet to scrap. And check out the awesome flair badges.
Also from Basic Grey the Paper Cottage collection has some fun bits and pieces that would make creating so much fun. I love to pop stickers off the page using 3D adhesive, adding more colour and dimension to my page. And I am a real sucker for stitched brads. Truth be told, I love these ones so much I would have a hard time actually using them on a page.
These stamps would be welcome accessories in my scrap room any time. With summer vacation only slightly forgotten these BoBunny guys would be great a page. And the Prima ones below would be a perfect fit on any page.
Maya Road never fails when it comes to embellishments, and these little guys are no exception.
If you know my style, you will know that I am, more times than not attracted to muted, toned down colours with pops of bright. So you may be shocked to know that my absolute favorite item in the shop right now is the bright and cheerful Grandma's Lima Bean Soup collection by Jillibean Soup. Inexplicably, I was immediately drawn to the fabulous lush colour in the collection. The alphas are the perfect size, and come in a variety of colours.
Here is my first layout completed with the collection.

Sparkle
Hi Everyone,
I can't believe it's actually the end of August! I hope all my friends along the East Coast of the US and Canada survived hurricane Irene safe and sound! We were lucky, never lost power but our town was hit pretty hard... lots of roads closed and school was cancelled! (that never happens) I decided to ride out the storm by scrapping my last project with My Mind's Eye's Hip Hooray Girl Collection. Since my last two layouts were birthday themed, I tried to create a layout with a different theme... I succeeded, almost! This picture is of my daughter at a friend's birthday party. It was on the third of July, so part of the fun was the lighting of sparklers. I just love her face in this picture!
To keep with the "sparkle" theme, I spritzed the background paper with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Party pink, and I also colored the Jillibean corrugated shapes with some sparkly mists. I added Stickles to the letters to make them sparkle as well!
That's all for now, I'll be back later this week with a fun project using Echo Park's Dots and Stripes collection. Until then, make sure to stop by the LCOM store regularly... all sorts of new goodies coming in!
Supplies Used:
PPs: My Mind's Eye Hip Hooray Girl: Confetti, Jubilant, Make a Wish, Party Time, Happy Day and Accessory sheet
Cardstock: Bazzill Kraft
Jillibean Soup Corrugated Shapes: Butterflies, Hearts
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist: Party Pink, Chalkboard Peacock
Maya Mist: Metallic Salmon
Alphas: Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type Handwritten; Bella Blvd Making the Team Alpha+Bits
Stickles: Stardust

Hi Everyone, I'm back with some more My Mind's Eye Hip Hooray -Girl. This has been such a fun line to work with... the colors are so bright and cheery! They coordinated perfectly with this picture of my daughter enjoying the Cinnamon Swirl French Toast I made for her birthday breakfast last year!

Make a Wish
Hi Everyone, I'm back with some really fun papers from My Mind's Eye... Hip Hooray Girl! My daughter has a summer birthday, so I figured these papers would be perfect for me to scrap with... of course I'm only scrapping last year's birthday, not that caught up! Well.. someday maybe!
I loved the cupcake theme since that's what we made instead of a big cake.
I added some fun corrugated shapes from Jillibean that I painted to match the colors of the Hip Hooray collection, some twine and of course, there are a few Whimsies from my stash.

Cards
Cards

***************************************************************************
I made a promise to myself this year to make more cards from scraps from my layouts - so I just couldn't resist using some of my Blossom Soup scraps to make some simple cards!
Both the diecut shapes sheet and the cardstock sticker sheets have the cutest phrases on them that are just perfect to be used on cards for a friend. I added in a little bit of white cardstock and some punches to make a doily shape for the first card and the bottom edge of the second card.
The sunny and fresh colours in this collection are perfect for feel good cards to send to a friend :)
Why not get some Blossom Soup and share one with a friend of yours :)
